well after a day of searching the net... nothing...
seems an application waiting is a Voice over Bluetooth program for the
Symbian 60 phones...
hmmmm.....
and yes imagine calling ur mate or girlfriend without using any carrier
networks...free version has no scrambling features so others can hear
in....similar to the audio on yahoo chat system....think about it folks...
would work in a shopping centre, concert, etc....and the Ngage has 30
meters...thats 100 feet! not bad when going through walls too...
already i can see a user interface ....
anyone know about Voice over Bluetooth ?

The point is motorola walkie talkies that are cheap can do 2-5 miles... Also bluetooth
decreases the more walls there are. . . are you sure that ngage has 30metres bluetooth?!

Think you'll find Bluetooth is 30 feet not 30 metres! Although you'll be
lucky if you get that - it's meant to be a personal area network with a
typical range of about 3 metres.

ill find info on bluetooth with the SIG group thankx...stop assuming
shit....
do some research then say something...i aint interested in what your
chemicals in your brain say about bluetooth...
i have a Bluetooth USB dongle thats 100 meters (333 feet) and the
ngage...well ill do my own tests when i get it...and all the documents i
have say 30 meters
why the heck would they promote multi-player gaming if they dont have a
strong bluetooth signal...
cheers

the ngage will be lucky to manage 10 metres. the USB dongle's 100m range is
only when used with another USB dongle. there are two main 'strengths' of
bluetooth, the phone uses a low-power version to maximise communication
times.

bluetooth = average 5-8m gameplay range.
which is ten times the distance of infrared.
not as if it's a short distance anyway, 8 metres is quite a long way away
from someone if you are gaming with them.
