Well, it doesn't look like you're going too far with the whole programming
of the phone thing.

Hello,

Possibly a bit OT here, but TDMA is an analog system, isn't it ?

Hello,

In France, too, and possibly in whole EU.

> Is TDMA analog?

I wonder. We, in France (like in whole Europe) had an analog network, a
while ago, but I only knew its "business" name, not the standard name.

| If he was going to write some "little game" for the phone, why should
| he know whether it is a TDMA or GSM phone? Do you think they run the
| same Java code (or whatever) differently based on which standard they
| use?
|

I was the first to reply to the O/Post, okay? I have NO friggin idea WTF he
wanna do with his phone. Some people think programming a phone is changing
the alpha tag on a TDMA phone. Others will think more to mobile BASIC
programming etc.

Now, we know that the OP wants to write a game for his phone. Java commands
may differ according to standard because the features/specs are different.
TDMA can recv SMS from the internet AFAIK (not sure)....whereas with GSM its
all OverTheAir technology only.

Before trying to snipe me, pls read the whole thread.

Well, we also had an analog network, called Celcom ART 900... replaced by
Celcom GSM (in use today)

Its name was, say, as nice as our analog network's name, then. Mind you it
was called Radiocom2000, now replaced by Orange (France), SFR & Bouygues
Telecom.
