OT: SMS Number

Posted: 11-09-2003, 02:11 PM
I know this is way off (ish) topic, but the useless folks at BT are doing my
head in today!

I've just got a new land line phone, one of these digital things that also
does SMS messaging. However I cant get the dam thing to send or receive, to
me Nokia 3650)

I've got caller display on the line, one of the pre-requirements but the
SMSC's numbers, both for send and receive cant be correct. So does anyone
know the right numbers to program into the bloody thing?

TIA,

Phil Martin.

sounds like a job for the service provider, only they can give you the
centre numbers.

From a shop;o>

But seriously, there are now a shed load of the new digital cordless phones
for the home land line that are SMS capable.

I've also sorted the problem. They pre program the phone with an operator
number, a separate provider to BT, but you have to remove a 'P' from the
number to enable the feature. Bloody stupid idea!!

Phil Martin.
