nokia 8310, usb cable and operating system is XP

PC suite 5.1 isn't for the 8310, and cable isn't an officially
supported connection method for the 8310, only infrared!

pc suite 4.3 for 8310 only works via infrared.

i'd recommend you to get a usb infrared adapter, will work with 8310
pc suite, logomanager, oxygen phone manager etc...
