PC Suite 5.1 full data copy phone to PC crashes !

Posted: 09-18-2003, 02:06 PM
Hello,

I am trying to copy all data from my Phone to the PC.

I am using windows98se and PC Suite 5.1

When from a clean boot of my PC, the infra red port immeditelly
recognizes the 7250 phone and it connects.

Then I start PC Suite 5.1 Nokia Content Copier

I select copy data from phone to PC and continue next

then select the phone 7250 and then click Apply the connections
acrivates

I continue clickign next

And the transferign of the data starts.

When it reaches the To-do it crashes , the Mpapi3s makes the
kernel32.dll crash-

I click close that crash window

THe message: the conection to the phone is lost appears.

I try click next wont work, if go back and try go next again it says:

The phone's time setting is not valid. Do you want to synchronize the
phone's clock with yoru computer's clock ? I click yes and it says the
connection to the phone was lost, which is not true the infra red
connection is still working.

What can I do ? What is the problem ?

Thanks,

Mario

I really do not why it causing this crash.
But I think to make sure if the pc suite is missing any files that might
cause there errors.
Go to Control panel- Add Remove Progmes--Select Nokia PC suite for 7210.
Click on REMOVE.
the uninstaltion pop up window will appear and select REPAIR-----OK
It will reinstall the software again. After restarting the pc I am sure you
will some difference.

Have you tried verifying the time and data setting on the phone is
within a couple minutes of the PC's settings? I wouldn't expect they
have to match exactly, but should be fairly close.
