Message alert not working

I have a 8310 and for some reason when I receive a message the phone will
vibrate, but the special tone sound is very quiet. I have tried different
tones but this still happens, and I have altered the profiles, but this too
does not change anything.

Can anyone help ?

This may sound stupid question but did you check the sound level (1->5)?

times.

Is it just the message tone, because I have found dust in my speake
before that was preventing me from hearing the full phone volume eve
at loudes
