Nokia Cark91 stand-by question

I am searching for a way to get my Cark91 on "listening" while there is no
phone connected.
Reason; i want to use the mic and speaker function for other equipement.
Can this be done by just making some connections between several carkit pins
or does the phone actually
speaks to the carkit (by protocol) to activate it when there is a incoming
or outgoing call ?
