From what I know, a private number is private. You can not see it at all.

A fella came into our shop in CLane today, and honest to God, my number
flashed up on his 6310 even when I had it switched off on my handset.
Haven't a fecking clue how it's done but God was it impresive! He said it
was configured on the handset, and not the account or the SIM.
I will investigate.
