Nokia Music Player (HDR-1) - headphones?

I saw in the FAQ on the Nokia website that it's possible to use regular
headphones with the Nokia Music Player... when using normal headphones, do you
lose the handsfree capability or is it possible to plug in a separate
microphone (e.g. HFM-8) to allow me to use my own headphones but still retain
handsfree capability?
