LG Announces LX290 Slider Phone

LG has announced the LG LX290, an affordable slider phone that gives users the ability to send messages, take calls, and keep track of appointments. The LX290 features a 1.3 megapixel camera, GPS navigation capability, and access to standard Sprint applications.



Users can snap pictures with a 1.3 megapixel camera and send them instantly with MMS picture messaging. The LX290 features a 2.5mm audio jack so users can tune into their favorite music. Users can also keep in touch with friends and family instantly with email support for AIM, Yahoo!, Windows Live, Hotmail and more. The phone includes support for standard Sprint applications, like Sprint Navigation for voice-guided turn-by-turn directions and NFL Mobile Live for fans who want to watch the game on-the-go.

Consumers can view text messages in a threaded messaging format or also chat in real-time via AOL, Windows Live and Yahoo clients. The phone can connect with up to 20 Bluetooth devices to send contacts and calendar events, pair headsets and car kits, and listen to music through stereo headphones. Sprint Navigation offers voice-prompted turn-by-turn GPS directions.

The LG LX290 is available for $79.99 after new 2 year agreement before an additional $50 mail-in rebate, bringing the total to $29.99.
