The second mobile phone to be part of Sony Ericsson’s new multimedia devices is the Sony Ericsson Yari. After getting amazed of the company’s first touch screened device, which is the Aino, perhaps you would say that the Yari is nothing as compared to it.
Actually, this slider device is presented as a gaming phone. It has gesture and motion gaming technology, which lets users move their body to play just like a Wii controller. It comes complete with pre-installed motion-sensitive games, dedicated gaming keys, games organizer, which is called the carousel, and a download service, called the PlayNow.
Other than that are multimedia features including 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, flash, face detection and geo-tagging, FM Radio, multimedia player, web browser, and stereo Bluetooth. This device has 2.4-inch QVGA display, and comes complete with 3.5G support, and 1GB MicroSD card in the box.
The Sony Ericsson Yari will be available in Achromatic Black and Cranberry White colors, and is expected to start selling during the Q4 of 2009.
