After announcing three low-end devices, Nokia has it again this time with a more advanced device dubbed as the Nokia 6600i Slide. This might already sound familiar to you since the Finnish company has actually launched a 6600 slide some time last year, and obviously, this 6600i Slide comes as its updated version.
Actually, the update here is that it will have a 5-megapixel camera with dual LED flash, which is indeed far from the 6600’s 3.2MP. It is also said that this is the company’s smallest 5-megapixel slider to date. This mobile phone is actually a Series 40 device that supports quad-band GSM and dual-band 3G, and comes complete with a 2.2-inch TFT display, Nokia Maps, plus an expandable memory up to 16GB. It also has tap commands, where users could just actually tap the device to activate the display, snooze the alarm or even silence the ringer.
This is expected to start selling by the third quarter of the year for €200 or $271, and will be shipped with 1GB memory card and with a Nokia stereo headset WH-203.
