8 MP Nokia N96 Passes Through FCC

Posted: 06-01-2009, 08:56 AM
We’ve first seen Nokia’s first 8-megapixel camera device back in February, dubbed as the N86, and now we’re seeing it again in what seems to be live pictures of it. This has just passed the FCC approvals, so speculations lead to a US release real soon.

So as said, this N86 will have an 8MP camera with wide angle Carl Zeiss lens, complete with dual-LED flash, autofocus and video capture capabilities. And since this is a camera phone, expect it to have the latest technologies on cameras these days. It comes as a dual-slider device, which was first integrated on the N95, plus it will also have an OLED display.

There’s still no official announcement yet about the N86 release date and pricing, but probably, after being approved by the FCC, we would be able to see this in no time.
