Nokia has just announced the latest addition to their E-series smartphones, named as the E52. It actually looks like the E55 but with just the traditional alphanumeric keypad. There’s actually no new feature about this handset, and will probably be just a basic E-series smartphone.
The thing is, this is said to have an impressive battery life with eight hours of talk and 23 days of standby time. So probably, the reason why it has no QWERTY keyboard is that this is not meant as a messaging device, but rather as a phone for calling. Aside from that, this will also have support for HSUPA and HSDPA, A-GPS, Ovi Services, 3.2-megapixel camera, noise cancellation, and e-mail support including corporate e-mail options (Nokia Messaging, Exchange, and Lotus Notes).
This is said to retail for €245 or about $325, and will start hitting the market by the second half of the year.
