You might probably have seen this Samsung Tocco Lite before, and in fact it is the same handset that we’ve featured last March, bearing the model number S5230. This is actually aimed to those who are on a budget for what is fad on mobile phones today, which is a touch-screened handset.
This will have a 3-inch WVGA touchscreen with 262k color display and 240 x 400 pixels resolution, TouchWiz UI and accelerometer. There will also be a 3.2-megapixel camera, FM Radio with RDS, Samsung DNSe 2.0 music technology, and Facebook, MySpace and YouTube widgets. This will have support for quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, complete with Bluetooth 2.1, but with no 3G or Wi-Fi access. That should actually be enough since this is aimed at the lower end of the touchscreen market, which then makes the “Tocco Lite” name appropriate. This is also equipped with 50MB of internal memory that is expandable to 8GB through microSD card support.
The Samsung Tocco Lite S5230 is targeted to come to UK this May for an unknown price, though perhaps it will not go much unlike other fully-packed and full-sized touchscreen handsets.
