We have already heard of the Sony Ericsson W518a back in March and it is just recently when it passed the FCC approvals did we get to see it in picture. It is actually the GPS-capable version of the Sony Ericsson W508a, and the design actually looks almost the same as with that too.
This features a QVGA internal display and will have music-dedicated control keys on the exterior as most Walkman phones have. There will also be the gesture and shake controls, allowing users to skip songs, answer or mute incoming calls, and even snooze the alarm clock with a wave of the hand or with a shake of the handset. There will also be TrackID and SenseMe technology, Bluetooth, and 3.2-megapixel camera with flash, photo fix and geo-tagging. There’s also high-speed HSDPA Internet for Photo Feeds, and Picture and Video blogging.
There’s no announcement yet on when it will be released and how much it will cost, but it is believed to be launched in the US by AT&T.
