The Motorola i580 is actually not a new iDen phone only that it is revamped with a fresh new shade, which we’re thinking, has to do with the coming season. It comes in a “highly visible yellow” color, which would perhaps mean that you won’t be able to lose this device just like that since the shade is very much noticeable.
This will also have a much powerful battery at 1130mAh, letting users talk up to 200 minutes. This phone is certified to Military Standard 810F which makes this resistant to shock, vibration, dust, solar radiation, extreme temperatures, low pressure, blowing rain, humidity and salt fog.
It's rugged Motorola device looks much of a sporty side, and will have 1.9-inch TFT internal display with 262K colors and 176 x 220 pixels, and white STN external display with 96 x 32 pixels. This is complete with Push-to-Talk capabilities via Nextel Direct Connect, GPS, Bluetooth, MMS, and 1.3-megapixel camera, with support for microSD slot.
Sprint is now selling this yellow version of the Motorola i580 at about $119 with a two-year contract.
