The Sony Ericsson W508 has already been officially announced back in January, but it is not yet released until this point. And now, the company is planning on releasing a similar phone to the W508, which will have the model number W518a.
The picture above is still the W508 because it is believed to be the same phone, only that the latest will have an A-GPS support. With that, let’s expect the W518a to have the SenseMe and TrackID technology.
It is also expected to have the Shake Control which allows users to skip through tracks with just a flick of the hand and the Gesture Control, which lets users move their hands above the phone to mute an incoming call or to even snooze an alarm clock without touching the phone. Most likely, there will also be 3.2-megapixel camera and dedicated music keys on the exterior.
This is said to target the American market, which would also mean that it will support 3G frequencies for either AT&T or T-Mobile network.
