Samsung Lucido S7220 Officially Announced

The Samsung S7220 has been leaked months back under different names, and now everything has been made official that this will be known as the Samsung Lucido S7220. The name is actually an Italian word for “Sleek” and indeed, this handset is polished in its metal detailing.



It supports quad-band GSM and dual-band UMTS with 7.2Mbps 3G HSDPA connectivity, complete with A-GPS navigation via Google Maps. This will also have 2.2-inch AMOLED display with built-in accelerometer, which guarantees to show clear and bright graphics.

The 5-megapixel camera has autofocus, built-in flash, face and smile detection and anti-blur technology. It also comes with video capture function that produces about 320 x 240 pixels at 15fps. It also has FM radio, music and video player that supports various formats, and 110MB of internal memory that is expandable to 8GB via microSD card slot.

The Samsung Lucido S7220 has been officially announced in UK and will be available by April also in Ireland and perhaps in other European countries too.
