T-Mobile has just announced in Germany the MDA Basic which will be part of their MDA range. This phone is said to be their personalized version of HTC’s latest entry-level touch screen smartphone, which is the HTC Touch Viva.
Based on the Window Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system, the MDA Basic handset boasts of a large screen that allows users to input text equipped with a pen. Users can use the Microsoft Office features to the best of its abilities with the 320×240 pixel touchscreen. The phone also wrap in a 2 mega-pixel camera and an expandable microSD memory slot that allows a storage capacity of up to 4 GB.
The phone additionally packs in a built-in Mp3 player, Wi-Fi and EDGE connectivity, easy access to files and email support. The highlight of the phone appears to be its amazing support while working with the Internet. The phone allows users to view internet pages in nearly 5 different sizes. The phone also bundles in a wide organizer that includes the address book, calendar, notes, tasks, alarm clock and calculator.
The MDA Basic phone will be available at stores in February, 2009.
