The phone is made of environmentally friendly materials, the casing outside mobile is not oil based like mobile phones normally are, but is made from a renewable bioplastic instead.
Nokia has made Nokia 3110 charger ‘green’ too, it only uses 10% of the energy compared to a conventional average charger.
It was told that since last 2 years, Nokia started making smaller boxes for its phones, that alone has saved 75 million pounds in 22 months as transportation of handsets in smaller boxes has enabled the company to use lesser trucks. Nokia is also working on releasing a 100% recycled phone.
