MPT Alternative ??

I know this is probably heresy, but does anyone know a good alternative to
MPT ?

I am having real trouble installing MPT onto a particular PC at work, and I
need to get it set up by Tuesday this week.

All I need to do is be able to connect a V600 to a Win2000 PC via Bluetooth,
and be able to send SMS messages to people in the phone's phone book using
the PC keyboard. The SMS must go via the phone, not the internet.

Software which has the ability to create groups (and send SMS messages to
multiple recipients with one click rather than having to select each group
member individually) would be a benefit, but since MPT does not do this
anyway, it is not essential.

The main requirement is the V600, Win2000 SP4 and the Bluetooth bit.

Any suggestions ?
