Trouble installing MPT on a Win2000 system

Help.

Trying to install MPT from a CD supplied with my V3 onto my computer at work
(which is a machine running win 2000)

The splash screen comes up and I select the language, then select "Install
MPT".

Then it shows the little Install Shield splash screen, and there it hangs.
Nothing. For ages and ages. Nothing. Have to reboot the PC to get out of it.

Anyone got any suggestions why this might be happening ?

I have installed the software successfully on my home PC which is running
Win XP, from the same CD.

Please help.

I presumed so. I think it says on the disc that it is. I have version
3.something (the disc is at work).

Do you think I should try and get hold of an earlier edition ?

Check the FAQ that Navas posted a few days ago, Mon. I think, re USB
drivers for Motorola.
You might have to run the program he mentions there and start the install
again.

Thanks ICU I will check it out.

I think it might be a Win2000 installation problem. Yesterday I managed to
install it with no problems on another PC in the office which is running
exactly the same version of Windows. It just seems to be the one PC I need
it on (our reception desk) which is refusing to play ball.
