I just downloaded a new ring tone from Skype, and would like to also
use it on my PEPL. However, when I tried to transfer it, I got an
error message indicating it was an unsupported file type. What file
types does Motorola use? Can I convert a Skype ring tone?
Thanks.

On mine they are *.wav files, *.mp3 don't work.

I have the PEPL - what does it use? And does anyone know what Skype's
format is?

I have v557. I have tried to transfer a file from the Mobile Phone
Tools "samples" folder, and I get an error saying that the file format
is not supported? How can that be, when I am getting the music file
from Motorola? Very frustrating. I also got the same error message
whn trying to transfer a mp3 file I extracted from a file in My MUsic
on my PC. Anyone have any idea of how to do this?

I'm still looking for new ring tones for my PEPL. Try as I might, I
can't convert the Skype ring tone, and all of the sites I've found so
far seem to be tied to one of the US cellular services. My problem is
that I bought an unlocked phone while in the U.S., but I'm currently
working in Asia, and my carrier here has no tones at all for
downloading. Is there any site where I can get new tones for my phone
for a reasonable price?

If you send me the tone I'll convert it for you and send it to you. OR,
Use Xilisoft (free trial: www.xilisoft.com) and convert it to a 128kHz
MP3 file and upload it to your phone with Bluetooth.
