I'd be interested to hear from anyone who's tried the new Lithium Polymer
batteries that are now available.
I bought two 1900mAh (allegedly) batteries recently for my new V3i. They
both lasted less than 24 hours and that was with only about 10-15 minutes of
actual talk time.
I thought they looked too good to be true!

My experience (limited as it is) with Li batteries is that they need
to be exercised for several charge cycles before they start showing
any decent lifetime.

I assume you're talking about the Maxcell batteries that have been
discussed here before? I've tested them extensively and found that they
may provide better performance when brand new (but not always) and after
90 days they're no better than OEM and some fail prematurely.

Regardless of "exercising", you'd still expect a new Polymer battery to last
more than 24 hours!

Both batteries were put on the supplied Motorola mains charger for around 15
hours.

The batteries were obtained from the Netherlands via eBay. I should have
known better. They were the equivalent of about $10 each. What should I
expect for that!?

Yes they are the Maxcell batteries. A total waste of time and money.

Time to resell them on Ebay.
You might want to Google EVDO and battery life. Something about if it hangs
and looks for the EVDO Signal, It will cut battery life over 1/2. I don't
have the problem as EVDO Is not in my area. There is a setting for it in the
service menu.
