There is neither a Cingular nor Verizion version of Bluetooth. Any
differences would be specific by phone and/or manufacturer. Most, but
not all BT equipped phones, will connect to the car's handsfree system.
Check the car manufacturer's website for compatibility but take it with
a grain of salt. For example, my wife's SE P910 is not supposed to work
with the BMW system but it works fine, as does my Motorola v3i. Both
also work on the Jeep system.
If you haven't bought the car yet, bring your phone in and try to set
it up in the showroom. Some are easy to set up in under two minutes,
like the Jeep, and others, like BMW, require that you follow a
cumbersome, non-intuitive procedure (but that's true for everything with
BMW's i-drive).

Actually there are differences in Bluetooth profiles supported. See

Yes there are, but that wasn't his question. Those differences do not
apply to his question about using it with the car's BT handsfree
feature.
I'm well aware of Verizon's crippled phone policy, but it's not germaine
to the topic. He didn't ask about the differences in other applications
and he may not care.
Are you aware of any specific differences that apply "when used with an
Infinity G35?"

If the proper profile isn't supported, it won't work.

I have no information on that. Do you?

1. Non sequitor - the profile differences don't apply to handsfree.
2. No, that's why I recommended he bring the phone in and try it.
However, the differences won't be between the Cingular and Verizon BT
implementations, it will be whether Infinity supports Motorola (it
should). Handsfree isn't dependent on File Transfer and OBEX. In any
case, the VZW BT features can be turned back on in SEEMs.

What are the VZW features that are missing and can be turned back on in
SEEMS?
If it 'seems' a bit too complicated for me to do, is there a place/service
that can turn them back on for a fee?
Lastly, when I use Motorola Phone Tools 4.04 to save my current phonebook,
where does it get stored on my computer. I never was given the option to
SAVE TO any location???

There are some excellent discussions on this topic at www.howardforums.com and at www.motomodders.net. By reading the
appropriate threads at those locations you'll have the whole picture.

Try looking in "C:\Documents and Settings\(your name)\Local Settings
\Application Data\BVRP Software\Motorola Phone Tools\Backup".

Great, that's it. Thanks! Is there a way to change the 'save to' location?
