Help getting images onto the ROKR E1

Posted: 03-05-2006, 06:10 AM
Does anyone know how to get images you've already got saved on your
computer transfered over to the ROKR? I want to use images I have saved

as address book images, but I just can't figure out how to get any
images (other than ones taken with the phone's camera) onto the phone.
Every time I plug the phone into the computer it immediately goes into
iTunes, which obviously isn't helping. I have both a PC and a Mac, so I

can use either to do this. Any help is appreciated.

You need Mobile Phone Tools software.

The ROKR can be prevented from going into iTunes by the following

Menu / Settings / Connectivity / USB Settings / Default Connection: Data/Fax
Connection.

Now you should be able to connect to the PC with USB cable and browse the
phone like a disk drive and copy your photos back and forth.

If you have stored your photos on the transflash card you may need to copy
them to the phone memory first to use as address book images.

Don't forget to switch back to Default Connection: Memory Card for iTunes to
see the phone again. It is possible to assign a shortcut to USB Settings by
holding down the menu key which makes this easier if you do it a lot.
