SLVR L7 battery charging

Posted: 02-27-2006, 02:26 AM

It seems to take forever to charge the extended battery (BC-60) even using
the high-output (850 mA) rapid travel charger. In the time it takes to
charge my wife's RAZR fully from dead, the SLVR manages to raise the level
of charge by only one bar. Anyone else noticing slow charging behavior
with this model and battery?

850 mA is low output, not high output. The high output charger for my V551 is
1500 mA.

It is higher than the stock charger which is 400 mA.
The V551 and the SLVR use different chargers with different conectors.

I understand all that. I was only commenting that 850 mA isn't all that much
output.

True, but my wife and I use the same (850 mA output) charger and her RAZR
charges much more quickly, even though my battery only has ~15% higher
capacity.

If you are aware of a mini-USB charger that the SLVR recognizes as
"authorized" and outputs 1500 mA please post the part number.
