I just went through the same problem; I had to get the most recent
version of the software from bvrp.com, and newer drivers.

I got the drivers sorted out first, and then fired up the software I
had, which was a little old; it couldn't conect to the phone unless I
picked a 'generic' type of phone, and when it did sync up, I didn't get
all the functionality.

I'd post all the details, but they're at home. If you can't get any
joy, check out the version of the phonetools that bvrp is selling. And
do some digging into your driver version.
