Charging issue V3?

Just wondering if I may have a charging issue. Sometimes my Razr will
indicate "unable to charge" when turned off. It locks up the phone and I
have to R&R the battery to clear things up. It charges fine after that. Not
really a problem, just an annoyance at times.
Any ideas what would be causing this?

Sounds like bad software, I would either get the phone upgraded
(software), or get a new hardware.
