Looking for a new cell phone for my fiancee and she likes the look of
the V3 Razr. I am looking for opinions from Razr owners.
Thanks

Opinions? Why? She likes the Razr. You'd be wise to get it for her.
Ain't nothing like a happy fiancée.
The phone works fine. My wife has one. The only thing better than a happy
fiancée is a happy wife. You will be learning that later on.
Oh yeah, the phone works fine.
I think I just gave you my opinion.

I got my wife one for Xmas. I like playing with it. I like surprising her
with custom ringtones that I make and upload into her phone using . Latest
tone I did was a bit of the chorus of Milli Vanilli's "Don't Forget My
Number".
Better reception than the old Samsung x427 she had (which I sold on ebay for
$45 USD). I was going to get a V3 until I found that the 3Vi is right
around the corner so I'm waiting for that one.

You can't go wrong with the razr. The classic v3 is a bargain now as
they clear the shelves. Many offer them for free or as much as $30
dollars back after rebate with a 1 year contract. While still not
widely available and significantly more money, the new v3i is the state
of the (razr) art with a memory card, 1.23mp camera, mp3 player and
more. I've had mine since Thursday & I'm very pleased with it.

got my wife a pink razr V3. It's a fine phone and it does what it is
supposed to do quite well. You can tell that Motorola has been in the
phone business for quite some time.
I tend to believe that the interface also got better since the last
Motorola I bought (V60).
However, if you're looking for a geeky phone with god knows whatever
PDA'ish features... don't bother with the V3. The V3 is a phone, it is
quite smart but it is no smartphone

I don't know about the new models coming out but the original silver
razr that I recently got had to be modded in order for me to hear people
that I talk to who don't talk loud. Turning the volume to the max just
wasn't enough so I made some changes to one of the hex files in order to
raise the volume level of the earpiece.
Also, the outer screen is dark but I'm sure that saves on battery and if
you click on one of the smart buttons then it will light up and you can
read it. But in direct sunlight both the outer screen and the main LCD
are too dark and can barely be readable. I've turned the brightness up
to a 6 (defaults to 4) and that has helped a little but it is still to
dark to see well. My black and white LCD on my old Sprint phone could
be seen in any type of light. You would think that direct sunlight
would make it easier but think again. HOpefully the newer models don't
have these problems.
hope that helps

Check out independent authorized dealers too. Same deal on the TMo plans
but after the rebate you get the v3 for free plus $20 cash. The v3 is
last year's model and they're giving them away to make room for the v3i
which has already been out for over a month in the UK and Asia.
