razr "insert SIM card"

no matter what I do, my razr displays the insert sim card display. i
know the card works because it works perfectly on my V188.
sooo...wtf??? i'm taking it to my local t-mobile store tomorrow and i
hope they replace it instantly, instead of making me wait, since i'll
be out of the country.

any ideas???
