Can bluetooth headsets be used with a bluetooth PC?

Posted: 12-09-2005, 08:31 PM
I have a Mot BT headset and thought it'd be nice if I can listen to my PC at
work. Haven't tried yet but if I have a bluetooth card in the PC can I use
my Motorola headset? The other thing that would be nice is some sort of way
to listen to my AM/FM stereo via bluetooth. Any options there?

Yes. Any bluetooth enabled device can use it.

in case the driver can handle the headset profile.
My old stick couldn't.

This is a low (voice) quality HEADSET profile without stereo.
So you will not be so happy when trying to listen radio with it.

Thanks. FWIW, I wasn't thinking music but technical webcasts and sports
radio so the audio quality requiment isn't high.

I want to use bluetooth with VoIP or Skype, but my DLink DBT-120 bluetooth
adapter doesn't want to play right with the drivers from DLink.
I can select it as the Windows default audio device, but I get no audio
with a Motorola HS820 that works fine with my v551. The v551 works fine
with the DLink for data.
