Scrolling behaviour is set by Main Menu / Settings / Initial Setup / Scroll:
Wrap Around or Up/Down
Check its set to Wrap Around - won't explain leaving the address book at the
top or bottom though.
A tip if you have multiple phone numbers for one person go to the Address
Book / Menu / Setup / View: and change the default All Contacts to Primary
Contacts. This will allow you to scroll left or right through all the
different numbers for one person.
