Motorola V265 need help with mute

HI!

We bought Motorola V265's in April. I haven't been using the phone much
but yesterday I found that my phone is muted. The phone will ring if
someone calls me but I can't hear them. And if I call someone it does
appear to put the call through but again I can't hear. In the bottom
right corner of the screen it will say "mute", I can hit that and it
will let me "unmute" but it doesn't make any difference. I've been
through my book and through the phone and I can't find any way to unmute
it. Does anyone know what could be going on? Being a newbie to cell
phones I'm hoping that I'm just missing something.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm going camping this week and
will need the phone.
