I just bought a new Razr V3 (black) on ebay. When I put my sim card in
and turned it on the display said 'AT&T Wireless.' I am currently a
Cingular user. So, I am a little puzzled as to why the display doesn't
say Cingular.
The phone is brand new, it is unlocked and supposedly compatible with
T-Mobile, At&T WS as well as Cingular.
Can anyone shed some light?
Thx

Cingular and ATT co-operate some networks, and Cingular networks often
display the ATT name. Very normal.

I wish I had gotten an unlocked RAZR in black but I was scared
something would be wrong with it and I wasn't willing to spend that
much money to get screwed. I have T-Mobile and they just had to pick
the silver phone and not the black one. That really sucks, enjoy your
black RAZR!

32k sim or 64k? It's saying att still becouse your sim/phone is no
masking the actuall tower id like they do now. Since they did away wit
manual network selection on most of there phones and started the merge
most of us that used to see cingular, or att, or tmobile, all se
cingular. Unless of course you did the seem edits to get back manua
network selection and pull the id from the tower and not the sim.
Either way it doesn't matter unless for some reason you don't have
nationwide plan. I can still ident. the towers by the codes. 310-41
for cingular orange, 310-380 for old att and 310-260 for tmobile.
