between different network carriers? It appears similar from the outside

OK the difference on the outside of a SIM card is not important. If two computers look the same does that mean that they have the sam information on them?? NO!!! However if you want to use your phone which was only previously able t be used on AT&T and want to use it on a different network you will nee to flash your phone. Editing your sim card is somthing that not many people can do th hardware to edit simcards is worth thousands and thousands of dollars.
