It should work so long as you transfered it by MPT or BT. If you used
p2kman or similar you will have to delete the 2 db files in the audio
folder.

I want to use my own mid-ringtone on a V3.
I copied the mid-file to the folder "sounds" and can play it there.
In the "sounds menu" I´ve chosen the option "Aply as Ring Tone"
But in the "Ring Styles" menu the ringtone is not listet.
