I use a USB cable that came with a program called Mobile Phone Tools by
Motorola.

The USB cable plugs into the phone's lower multi connector and the
software allows you to create your own ringtones from your CDs or other
sound files as well as remove and install graphics and pics, address
data, etc. It is a super program that includes photo, video and sound
editors as well in order to utalize the data.

I used an older version of Motorola Phone Tools (Version 2.0 which I
bought on eBay really cheap) but the nice thing is that the program
allows you to have free updates for life so my software updated itself
to the latest and greatest version (version 25 I believe) allowing me
to use it on any newer motorola phone as well.

The USB cable number for the V551 and most other newer motorola phones
(v60, 120e, etc) using the same cord is SKN6311B.

The motorola website will help you greatly on using the program if you
need it.
