Motorola device

Posted: 07-24-2005, 05:32 PM
Hi people

I have been given a Motorola device which look like a mini notebook PC with
integrated qwerty keyboard with a screen, I'm guessing its just a text
device.

I put in a SIMM card and its asking for a code. I'm trying to identify this
device so i can get a suitable SIMM or the relevant code, does it ring any
bells with anyone?

You should be able to find it on that site. And someone gave you that eh?
Nice
Look under the battery for a model number as well.

It's probably a V100 (V-Box). Blue in colour with a flippy up lid
integrating the screen? If it is, it's voice & text but you've got to use a
handsfree for voice calls.

All depends what code it's asking for. IT probably just needs unlocking.

That sounds like an apporopriate description, its got a 'V' symbol all over
it.

Ive since found and tested a T-Mobile SIMM and it boots up correctly, seems
that my O2 simm is the cause of the problem.

Thanks for getting back to me with that info.

It doesn't look at all like that, the description of the V100 (V box)
provided by Richard COlton seems to be more accurate.

First place i looked was there, google doesnt make anything of any of them
numbers though

Excellent. I used to have one a few years ago. Great phone for texting,
but a PITA for voice usage (still like the design though).

I can't remember how you unlock them TBH, but I think it's an EMMIbox job
(good luck finding someone still using one).
