Posts: n/a Re: V3 + Water = ?? Well, "that depends" would be the only real answer. If it sat in theocean for awhile than probably not. If it was in the rain or got splashed at the pool probably can be saved. If it was submerged in fresh water, maybe. First, remove the battery and leave the battery door off. Leave the phone alone and give it plenty of time to dry. Don't put it in an oven or you could melt plastic parts. If it was really wet, like fell in the pool, I'd let it dry out in an air conditioned area for about a week before turning it on. You best bet would be to open the case if you know how, or have a service center do that and dry it out thoroughly. Once it's dry it may be OK. Agreed, I think the problem with this waterbowled v635 is that buddy triedusing it again right away, and he says it did work, but then cut out to the bootloader screen, and no matter how many times I reprogram it, same deal. I've seen users complain theysent their phones in because they were broken and the techs said the phone had water damage and therefore would not be covered under warranty. The user claimed the phone was never near any water. Could a sweaty pocket cause the water sensor to go off?
