Amazon.com Free V3????

Posted: 06-15-2005, 03:49 AM
If it seems to good to be true it usually is... If I know I want a V3 Razr
& Cingular. Is there any downside to the Amazon.com offer? V3 $149.99 free
shipping, $150 mail in rebate (free end cost), and $18 activation fee as
compared to Cingular $219.99 (no data package) or Best Buy $149.99 and $36
activation fee. Contract length? Early termination fee? There must be a
catch somewhere.

Thanks in advance... Fred

The offer ends today (but will probably be replaced by a new offer). The
terms are clearly spelled out when you click "special offer" and answer all
your questions. Basically, there's a one year contract, for any plan that
costs at least $39.99 and you have to stay on it for at least 180 days. If
you cancel before the end of a year you pay an early termination fee
(usually $200).

I hate to sound dumb but I don't see anywhere that it says "special offers".
Help ASAP - today's the last day.

I believe they add roaming charges, which cingular does not charge on
it's contract. Also, amazon "may" be giving you a refurbished phone.
