Posted: 04-25-2005, 09:55 PM
Hello
I just purchase a Motorola V551 Cell phone and I will be going to Europe for
1 month
I have an international calling plan.

I have a problem
I don't know which International Voltage Converter to buy for this phone?

Voltage Converter up to 50w?
or
Voltage Converter 50w to 1600w?

Thanks

Is your phone charger strictly 110V only? Check the small print, all my
Motorola chargers are rated 100-240 volts. I'd be surprised if it isn't
multi voltage.

If yours are also similarly rated, then all you need is a pin adaptor, the
charger will be fine with European voltages.

So are you saying
If the charger voltage reads from 110v to240v
all I have to do is use the litlle adapter plug and connect it directly to
the outlet?

That's exactly right. The charger needs no converter as it's designed to
work anywhere. Only the plug configuration changes. You can use the
Motorola adaptors or any others.

Yup my notebook said that as well. just the prob adapter (a pacage of
all the types at radio shack was rather cheap)

Don't buy hese at the airport unless you like to spend the cost of your
plane ticket on a piece of plastic with two piece of metal.

I had a battery charger for my nicads for my camera and kidna funny..
they charged faster
