ringtone group working!

Posted: 04-22-2005, 10:35 PM
Someone said they posted to alt.binaries.cellphone.ringtones the other
day but the group wasn't showing up everywhere. It is showing up on the
Roadrunner list now if you "reset newsgroups" in Outlook Express or do
whatever is similar in your NG client.
However, there were no ringtones posted there so I posted one to kick
it off. I posted an 8 second mp3 that I extracted from the Kill Bill
Ironsides track using Mobile Phone Tools as well as a few other nice
tones.

The ringtone group that I saw posted here was the
alt.binaries.sounds.cellular.ringtones on which I posted one a while
ago and there was one already there.

Still can't see that one. In any case, the
alt.binaries.cellphone.ringtones group has a bunch that I posted now.
I'll try googling the other one.

OK, just tried to google for alt.binaries.sounds.cellular.ringtones but
came up dry. How did you find it?

Someone posted it here and it happened to be in my NG lists after I
refreshed it.

I just tried the one you posted and I can't get it on my news server
or on Google.

newsfeeds.com now has the group but it's empty.
