Tower question

Sorry -- Do people normally get rotten reception with ATT/V60i 1/4 mile
away from a freeway when they get fine reception UNDER the freeway?
There's some sort of cell tower a few hundred yards away from the
freeway (not line-of-sight from under it) but I can't find a listing for
it.

Alternate question: how far away can the tower be and still be useful?
When I can see a tower everything is fine, but I truly doubt that every
happy cell user is within sight of a tower.

2nd Alternate question: Are Motorolas generally regarded as more
reception-challenged than other brands?

Sure, but you have to bring your own can opener, spoon and paper plate.
Be warned, I buy generic on sale.

Could be. The Motorola is small and I like the "voice" feature, but the
case is slippery and if the reception will generally suck I might as
well switch back to the Nokia. Besides, I have an orange faceplate for
the Nokia!
