General Question - T725

Posted: 03-11-2005, 02:02 AM
Hello Everyone.

I really just have a general question. A friend of mine just showed me
his T725 phone. He is on a Cell One GSM network and the phone seems to
work quite well.

I understand this is somewhat of a hybrid phone. I liked this little
phone. I'm not a big user of cameras or SMS. I just need a good,
reliable phone. I am on Cingular. My Cingular rep. tells me that they
can't obtain them but if I can get one that is unlocked, it will work
with their network.

My question is - has anyone had experience with this phone? My friend
has had no real problems but he's a small sample. I did read the
reviews on Phone Scoop and it seemed to have good reviews there as well
but they seem to be a rare phone so there are only a couple of reviews
available to read.

I'm just curious if anyone has any information to share about this
phone. I may have the chance to pick up an unlocked one but given that
it seems to be so scarce, I'm just trying to find out a bit more about
it before I jump into something that I could regret.

Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

John

The T725 was an update to add EDGE to T720 phones. It was Motorola's first
EDGE phone. No camera or bluetooth. It's solid but be sure you can find
an unlocked one. They weren't on the market very long.
