Two more v60s questions

You folks are great. I would like to ask two other questions:

1. Is there any way of changing the default setting so that when I first
turn on the phone, it's not set with speakerphone on? Turning it off is easy
enough (thanks to this group), but it seems kind of silly that I would have
to do that every time. The settings seem to allow for "always on" or "20
seconds on" - why not always OFF?

2. I can't figure out how to lock the keypad. The manual says I simply need
to enter "1 2 3 4," but that doesn't do anything.
