V300: phone to PC photo transfer

i recently purchased the $40+ USB -Mobile Phone Tools: Version 2.0- ki
for my new V300 for the ability to transfer the snapshots i take wit
my phone to my computer and store them. after two attempts at
successful install, i've got nothing. i get it down to the last step
it the status won't stop 'Initializing'.
iall i want is to be able to store my pics onto my PC without having t
pay for picture e-mails.
please help and thanks in advance
