v600 is quad band. But the Tmobile USA model, has 850 disabled at Tmobile's
request.

If you got the phone from T-Mobile and have had it for 3 months I
understand they will unlock it for you for free. You can also do a
google search to find places that will sell you the code.

Well, I got the phone when I activate my mobile with T-Mobile, does that
count? I did not go to the T-Mobile Shop per se since the vendor also
cater for other Wireless carrier such as Cingular, Sprints, etc.

What if I switched from T-Mobile to Cingular, I got the phone unlocke
to use with Cingular but I still don't have the 850 band. What can
do? I think this is why I have a weak signal
