Is V600 tri-band or quad-band?

I know that it has 900/1800/1900 ... how about 800/850?
Is it possible to enable/unlock it?

Yes, the US version has 850 and the phones can be unlocked with a
computed code.

v600 is quad band. But the Tmobile USA model, has 850 disabled at Tmobile's
request.

If you got the phone from T-Mobile and have had it for 3 months I
understand they will unlock it for you for free. You can also do a
google search to find places that will sell you the code.

Well, I got the phone when I activate my mobile with T-Mobile, does that
count? I did not go to the T-Mobile Shop per se since the vendor also
cater for other Wireless carrier such as Cingular, Sprints, etc.

....and there was me thinking that Orange UK were bad with their
customisations. Why would they want to remove a possible roaming revenue
earner?!

Like I said, if you've had it for 3 months ask TMo to unlock it and they
will.

What if I switched from T-Mobile to Cingular, I got the phone unlocke
to use with Cingular but I still don't have the 850 band. What can
do? I think this is why I have a weak signal
