V300 WINDOWS XP SP2

Hi!

I tried to install the software for a Motorola V300 handset today by using a
USB-cable
on a WIN XP Home/Sp2 machine but it didnt work, the phone isnt recognized.

the CD includes a "handset manager" but I didnt see the "mobile phone
tools".

where can I get/download a driver for the V300 which works in XP Home SP2 ?
where can I get/download the "mobile phone tools" ?

any hints on how to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated,
